Well people I did not post for a while now, but an issue came up that needed the immediate attention of all Armenians. I don’t know how familiar the US Armenians are with an annual European music competition called Eurovision, but let me tell you that in all of Europe people anticipate it in nearly the same way that they anticipate Olympic games. Well in the first time in its history Armenia got qualified to participate in this event, and we are the ONLY trans Caucasian republic that got qualified, so you can imagine the jealousy of Azeris and the Georgians. Armenia will be represented by a young and very talented and very famous Andre (originally from Nagorno Karabakh Republic). Levon knows that I am not a person who gives out compliments very often, but this guy is really talented and a very good person and he deserved this position.

Each country’s representative is chosen through a national vote on a sponsoring TV station, and in Armenian’s case the sponsor (thank you God) was non other than Armenian National Television’s Channel One (HH1). This means that an Armenian artist got his back covered by our own government, a step in a very good direction. So you say, what is the problem, shouldn’t we all be happy and wish the best to Andre and hope that he wins? The answer is obvious to normal people, but we are Armenian, we never have easy and obvious answers, we are WAY too special.

It seems that some people in Armenia are just selfish, self righteous, assholes with a lot of time in their hands. Armenian parliament’s MAJORITY LEADER complained about the Armenianness of the song and brought this issue up in the PARLIAMENT (yes that’s the place in Armenia where mafia bos...errr deputies come to slee…. I am sorry to work). He thinks that Andre is not a good candidate for this and that his song is more Uzbeki than Armenian. Other mongrel idiots from all layers of our society also decided to voice their “expert” opinion on this issue. The situation got so bad that there was a whole TV debate on this issue. The opponents of the song pointed out many things, starting from how the singer looks, where he is from, how his English accent is bad, ending with comparing the song to Mongol-Uzbeki rhythms.

One guy, looking like a dork, was saying (even wrote an article) that the song should be more Armenian and that it sounds Turkish. Well apparently duduk, cochari, zurna, canon, and camancha are not Armenian enough and I guess he does not know that Turks STOLE MOST of what they have from their neighbors. What these people don’t understand is that Armenia is a Europe within the East and East within Europe. So our music, especially pop music, the one that Eurovision viewers want to see and hear (the vast amounts of international viewers, especially the youth, don’t give a flying fuck about others’ ethnic music) , needs to reflect that. So what that the music has some Eastern influences, we are partly an Eastern culture. Eurovision is youth oriented, as much as I love Dle Yaman, we cant stand there and perform it, because most of the audience will be bored. Every competition has its style, Eurovision kind of requires an upbeat music with a young performer.

I think these people are just plain stupid, poisonous ass holes, looking for that “15 minutes of fame”. I don’t know, maybe it was one of the other performers that felt jealous and started rumors, but rumors don’t become public debate, actions of politicians do. How carefree is the majority leader of the parliament that he decided to tackle this “problem”? I think that this is not a question for the parliament. They should come up with ways to boost our economy, not bad mouth Armenian talent.

I want to make one point very, very clear; THESE ACTIONS HURT OUR IMAGE AND OUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Imagine how Andre feels right now, his own people bashing him for no apparent reason. It is like sending troops into a battle and saying oh yeah BTW you guys are going to die because the armament and the equipment that you have is inadequate and when you die you will be buried as traitors, good luck with that battle.
If the song was horrible the critics would say that it is, but that’s the problem for them, its not and that’s why they are after little crap, we call it “PITNO BRNEL”.

I will provide the links to the video and audio of the song, you be the judge, I believe that it is good enough to present to Eurovision and I believe its good enough to win the first place.

BTW while our politicians and “experts” are trying to destroy this guy and put down our name, Azeris are busy at work. Azeri FM asked Eurovision to remove Andre’s bio because it mentioned that the singer was born in Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Azeris say there is no such thing. Also Azeri hackers hacked Andre’s site and put Khojaly “massacre” pictures there in a pitiful act of false propaganda.

I personally wish Andre the best and may he come home victorious.

There WAS a massacre at Khojaly.

No there WAS NOT a massacre in Kholjaly. Armenian forces gave civilians a corridor and Mutalibov himself said during an interview that Khojaly was a ploy by Aliyev side. Civilians did die, but we can not call it a massacre because we did not enter the village to massacre but to defend ourselves from attacks from that area.

All I have to say is ANDRE IS #1. They can go talk as much as they want about him, but I know that Andre will make a great impression on the European public, just as he has wherever he has gone before. I personally haven't been able to get that song out of my head for the past month.

Now, who has H1 in their house so we can go watch this on May 18.

To not in my name, please stay on topic. We are not going to remove your post, no matter how out of place and idiotic (especially for an Armenian) it was, but please stay on topic.

Arman, I AM on-topic. You mentioned Khojaly in your post and so my response is relevant.

Armenian forces gave civilians a corridor
Or so the popular Armenian saying (propaganda) goes.

Ամօթ է չընդունիլ թէ հայերը ջարդեցին Ազերի կիներ եւ երեխաներ. իսկ նոյնիսկ եթէ անձք մը ձգուած էր, այդ չարդարացներ անմարդկային ոճիռը:

Not in my name, it is also a shame to ignore the facts that Armenians have and label it propaganda. Armenian soldiers did not massacre Azeri women and children, IT IS NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN OUR STYLE OF WARFARE. People who died in Khojaly died because they got caught in the crossfire. When you label death of civilians a massacre you mean that the attacking army came there to kill anyone on plain sight.
It is documented that the Armenians gave the enemy multiple warnings and even the Azeris knew that Armenians were going to attack Khojaly, since they WERE SHELLING STEPANAKERT'S CIVILIAN POPULATION FROM SHUSHI AND KHOJALY (plus Khojaly had an airstrip so Azeri's used air force to attack Armenians), WHY THERE WAS NO EVACUATION PRIOR TO THE ATTACK?
Do you at least understand or care that we could have not waited to see when Azeris would decide to move out their civilians. The longer Khojaly was theirs the more Armenians (that is the people that you unfortunately belong to) would die.

Plus all the "massacred" bodies were found deep in the enemy lines WHERE ARMENIAN FORCES NEVER SET THEIR FOOT AT THAT TIME. How about Mutalibov's interview where he specifically states that the whole Khojaly ordeal was planned by his opponents in order to oust him, which happened after three months of Khojaly incident.

I know that you are waaaaay too self righteous to accept the Armenian scenario, but at least I tried.

And unless you have been there yourself during the fighting, you should not go around the Armenian sites and tell other Armenian that they are wrong. There is way more evidence supportin us then them, but you chose their side, God be with you, thats all I can say.

Thousands of people don't die suddenly due to sporadic shelling from Armenian artillery. It is clear that Azeri deaths occured not from distant shelling but from actual slayings of civilians. Whether or not they were deliberately kept there by Azeri forces does not excuse Armenians' behaviour. And please, don't give me the holier than thou attitude.

You seem to imply by saying "the people that you unfortunately belong to" that I should be defending the Armenian side because I happen to be Armenian. That means that you don't really care about facts and that you would accept the Armenian version no matter what, because it's the patriotic/nationalistic/ethnocentric (and hence right?) thing to do.

Are you also going to deny that Armenians are racist as can be seen in the lyrics of so many "revolutionary" songs? Check out my site for one.. Hanging Turks from their feet, selling them to buy ammunition, etc. Must've been an Azeri plot. Ahh yes.

NOT IN MY NAME

Arman said...

So now its thousands of people? Even Azeris say it was 613 civilians, so you add the rest?

You don’t need to defend the Armenian side when it is totally, 100% no doubt wrong, but you don’t even know what really took place there, of course unless you were there. Most of the primary info that the world got on Khojaly came from a biased source; Thomas Goltz. A western journalist who has a Turkish wife and does not even hide that he is pro Azeri. While Armenian evidence comes from Armenian and western sources, but you don’t care of course.

You bring up our shelling of Azeris, HELLO DO YOU KNOW WHO STARTED USING GRAD MISSILES FIRST? That’s right Azeris, who were they shelling? Armenian civilians! Did you even see the Stepanakert footage where the Grad missile hit the kindergarten? Yes those came from Khojaly and Shushi. And that’s just a small part of it.

You keep bringing in the survivors of the so called massacre. Well what are they going to say "oh our own government did not evacuate us, so we got caught in the crossfire", they are going to say that Armenians came and murdered them. You just fail to understand the difference between massacre/genocide and war casualty. Show me proof of centralized order to massacre civilians by the Armenian command. You can’t since there is none, because we don’t use that strategy. Do you understand that we warned them multiple times that we are going to attack? It’s pointless to argue with you, self righteous people like you don’t want to learn, because THEY KNOW IT ALL.

And your so called racist song is a militaristic song. It’s a song dedicated to people WHO DELIBERETLY CAME TO KILL YOUR ANCESTORS (nobody warned them and nobody gave them a route to escape, quite the contrary). You want to call it racist, go ahead, I call it militaristic.

And yes I am sorry that you are Armenian. BTW I am not a nationalist, but I know when to step up and support my people.

Guys I realise that some of you feel very strongly about this alleged massacre but really you've gone completely off topic. Please either stop or creat a new topic link.
I have a couple of quick comments on the original blog.
I couldn't agree more with pretty much everything that was said by Arman, it really is completely pathetic that this has become as you said a "15 minute fame grab" rather than a cheerful topic of discussion and pride.
There is nothing Un-Armenian about his song, obviously it has some eastern influences but its just a more upbeat verision of most of our traditional songs and so what, if it sounds a little Turkish or Uzbeki or whatever, who died and made these idiotic oligarcs the kings of good taste or “Armenianness”. I’m sure they think chopping down our trees to build yet another café or lining their pockets with foreign aid while people all around starve or freeze is real Armenianness. They obviously have not evolved enough to be objective in discussing issues concerning Armenia and Armenians. Come on, they probably think Aram Asatryan and Tata is good music!
To be totally honest this isn’t the kind of music that I would usually listen to but it’s upbeat, catchy and the mixture of European beats and Eastern influences will definitely appeal to the European audience and at the end of the day this is the aim of this competition. To put Armenia and it’s people within reach of average Europeans, because believe it or not most Europeans have never heard of Armenia and they know nothing of our country, it’s people or it’s history and instead of trying to present ourselves in the best light all we can do is insult and put down our entrant Andre.
I’d never heard of him up until a couple of weeks ago but after the whole Eurvision thing I downloaded his CD’s and I have to say this guys is seriously talented. I don’t get why we can’t just be happy for him and proud of him. The pressure he’s going be under is enormous enough without him thinking none of us are behind him. You know, I wouldn’t blame him if he just got sick of this whole thing and jacked it in, after all I wouldn’t want to represent a country that countinuously puts me don.
It’s just a typically arrogant Armenian response to anything that’s slightly different to what they’re used to. We think we’re so much better than everyone else that we have completely closed our minds to the possibility maybe there is something that we can learn from the rest of the world be it East or West.
On a final note, Arman, I think you may have overstated just a little by comparing the Eurovision to the Olympics, I can tell you that as far as the average European is concerned (and I can only speak for myselve and others in my social circle and those my age) the Eurovision is an incredably cheesy contest that is mainly watched to see which country ”out-cheeses” the other!! Either way I’m going to be watching it and of course voting for Andre. Good Luck Hayastan!!!

Thank you Anna for understanding my (and the majority of Armenians') point of view. As I mentioned already, I LOVE Ara Gevorkyan's work (every one of them), but Eurovision is not the place for pure ethnic music. Its as you said light entertainment, and Andre's song is very adequete for Eurovision.

P.S.
Thank you Anna for pointing out that we went off topic. Thats what I tried to tell this guy, but he just did not care. So now I am just going to ingore him ig he goes over the topic again.

And I dont want to start a topic on this issue since Azeri/Turkish propagandists use these type of conversations for their online propaganda campaigns.

I'm not a guy, I'm a girl. Well, there's no proof that I'm a girl, I guess. We'll just say that I'm allegedly a girl... *rolls eyes*

The people who remain critical of Andre's song choice do not understand that Eurovision is a contest for up beat, pop songs...and Andre's song is just that. Armenian Folk music, Sayat Nova's tunes or plain duduk are simply not suitable for Eurovision.
Go Andre! :~)

The bar was gritty and dim. About what one would expect on a far-flung space outpost. Tonya ran a tired hand through her close-cropped hair, ruffling the green and pink stripes. Dispatch had finally managed to get her a load of crystal ore out the Andromeda Star System. She had been in port four farding days! A space hauler did not make money docked on a tiny planet in no-where land for days on end.
The only bright spot on this trip was the exotic stripper she found in this nasty bar. orgy lesbian hentai's show was next. Tonya's pulse quickened as the techno beat started to play and strobes colored the air. ranma hentai burst onto the stage, thin and graceful. Her fully toned muscles well displayed under her taut blue skin. Long, electric blue hair curled playfully around her pointed ears and fell over her shoulders. When she turned her long, fluffy, electric blue tail drifted around her like a silk scarf.
Tonya loved her copper eyes and her raspy catlike tongue. Thinking about the way that tongue felt when applied to her body was making her wet with anticipation. porno toons was a terrific lover, inventive and generous. The swing they had rigged from the ceiling of the sleeping room was definitely going to be a treasured memory.
hentai rape had told her earlier today that she had arranged a going-away party for her. Tonya had never had a lover throw her a party. Her sex life was usually just a string of one-night stands recorded in her personal journal. Being a long distance hauler did not allow for in-depth relationships. Tonya preferred it that way. Meeting new people, seeing new planets, the great pay, that was her goal.
Liema was gliding and sliding, about to finish her dance for the small crowd. The server came by and dropped a note on the table with Tonya's drink. "Meet me outside. I will drive." Signaling the server for her bill, she hastily paid her drink and went out to where free animations parked her flyer. Her blood hummed with excitement over the coming evening. Liema had been keeping plans for the party secret, teasing her with possibilities.
The dancer sauntered out the back door, her blue skin occasionally reflecting the lights of the parking lot. She greeted Tonya with a kiss; she opened the door of her mini flyer and let Tonya settle in. Liema drew a black, opaque scarf out of her body suit and turned towards Tonya.
"It is good that you are not scheduled to leave early in the next sun phase. I have a full night planned for you." Liema's eyes gleamed with mischief. "You promised you would trust me to make this a truly exhilarating experience, so I hope you don't mind the blind fold."
"No, I don't mind, I enjoy mystery." Tonya was slightly nervous. After all, she had only known Liema for a few sun phases. However, Liema was a Sieral Cat, a race known for its expressive sexuality and its inability to mistreat others. They had carefully bred the violent tendencies from their race 100's of years ago. As a people, they were highly prized as concubines, dancers, artists, and pricey escorts. They were also highly selective in their tastes. They were taught to thoroughly research an individual using interstellar databases before they would ever considering a sexual relationship.
This was Tonya's second encounter with a Sieral. She had transported and abducted male out of an illegal slave market three years previously and assisted the Interstellar Police Marines with information for a bust. She had been well rewarded for her efforts, but she had informed on the slave trafficking out of a deep sense of honor. Slavery was purely evil and something she had no tolerance for.
The flyer banked to the left and came in for a smooth landing on top of a small townhouse unit. The landscape of the planet was bleak, peppered by buildings in a haphazard style. Liema helped Tonya out of the flyer and guided her to the elevator access. The elevator quickly swept down to the lower level. As they exited the box, Tonya could smell spicy foods and sweet carnoli spice cooking close by.Hentai pics gallery
